Samantha Geimer wants charges against Roman Polanski who is Polish-French film director, producer, writer and actor dropped.
Samantha Geimer wants statutory rape charges against Roman Polanski. This was filed in 1977 still be pursued decades later ended.

Samantha Geimer was then 13 year old. According to the warrant Polanski was responsible for giving her drugs and then indulging in under age cavernous relations with her.

So after all Polanski fled to avoid US charges. Now Samantha Geimer says continual discussion of the details of her case decades later by prosecutors "causes harm to me, my husband and children".

Roman Polanski had sought dismissal of her charges on January 21, but the court said he needs to appear in person. So for that Geimer says that as a cruel joke. And after that Polanski fled the U.S. in 1978 and hasn’t been in the country since. In year of 2002 he won the Oscar for The Pianist.

So finally Samantha told court in written statement :

"If Roman Polanski can't stand before the court to make this request, I, as the victim, can and I, as the victim do. I have urged that this matter come to a formal legal end. I have urged that the district attorney and the court dismiss these charges."
